Shaun Reardon-John is a solicitor-advocate and experienced BVI dispute resolution lawyer who was admitted to practice in the BVI in 2012.
Shaun specialises in commercial disputes that often involve civil fraud and asset-recovery. Most of his work involves cross-border disputes. He has extensive experience with Ponzi schemes having acted for Liquidators on some of the largest matters in recent memory. He has experience of investor-state arbitration disputes, such as the enforcement of an ICSID Award against the government of Pakistan.
Where appropriate, Shaun is an advocate for alternative dispute resolution, having secured advantageous outcomes for clients via Arbitration and Mediation. Clients appreciate his pragmatic approach to disputes.
During his career Shaun has acted for high-net worth individuals, insolvency practitioners and FTSE 100 companies including banks. He has represented clients before the High Court and Court of Appeal in England and Wales and the Eastern Caribbean. He has also worked closely with colleagues and clients based in the BVI, Cayman, Switzerland, USA, Hong Kong, Jersey and Canada.
Shaun has authored numerous articles, sat on the editorial board of the FraudNet Annual publication, undertaken speaking engagements and has been part of the United Nations Expert Working Group on asset tracing and recovery.
