Delivering financial crime investigation training

Barry Faudemer, CEO of Baker & Partners was in Accra, the capital of Ghana recently to deliver financial crime investigation training to Law Enforcement/ Regulators and Prosecutors.

To deliver the training, Barry was joined by JMiles & Co a law firm in Kenya and Asset Reality who assist governments and law enforcement in the seizure and management of virtual assets. The training is part of a major contract between Baker & Partners and the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale (“GIZ”) to deliver financial crime investigation training in Peru, Kenya, Senegal, Tunisia, Ghana and six jurisdictions across the Western Balkans.

GIZ is a service provider in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development and international education work. They are dedicated to shaping a future worth living around the world.

Barry Faudemer who delivered the training commented:

“We were delighted to deliver the training in Accra in conjunction with our partners. The aim was to deliver high-quality and relevant training, particularly in the asset recovery space to equip all the agencies that attended with the know-how and capability to recover stolen assets and the proceeds of corruption. The contract extends to providing ongoing mentoring in each jurisdiction and we look forward to working with the attendees in the future.”
